It was flooded with comments of congratulations from notable AFL names, including Jordan Ablett, wife of Gary, Jess Gawn, wife of Max, Jules Neale, wife of Lachie, Jayden Short and Mitch Wallis.

Seven’s Abbey Gelmi was at the wedding and posted a video to her own account of the moment the married couple walked into the reception.

“The most spectacular bride! Such a beautiful day,” Gelmi commented on their post.

Seven’s Rebecca Maddern added: “Congratulations! A photo full of love.”

A host of current and former Tigers names were at the wedding, including Andrew McQualter, who left the club after missing out on the senior coaching role to replace Damien Hardwick.

In a separate post, Burke wrote: “Pinch me!”

It continues a flurry of AFL weddings this off-season, and comes just a week after Channel 7 sports presenter Abbey Holmes married former AFL journeyman Keegan Brooksby.

The Northern Territory ceremony took place at the foot of Uluru with Holmes calling it the “perfect day with the most perfect person in the Heart of Australia”.

Holmes shared the moment on her Instagram page and high-profile sports stars and TV celebrities were quick to send their congratulations.

Holmes is a former AFLW player and recently appeared on Seven’s SAS Australia.

Brooksby was on AFL lists at West Coast, Gold Coast and Hawthorn before his 15-game career came to a close at the end of 2020.

Holmes said she wanted to get married in the Northern Territory because it was “a massive part” of her journey and the place meant a lot to her and Brooksby.
