Bel Powley and Douglas Booth are married!
“💘 28 • 10 • 23 💘The day @douglasbooth and I got married, during the most love filled ceremony, in front of all our favourite people on this earth,” the English actress captioned the photos. “I have no words to describe how happy I feel. I love you @douglasbooth ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
In the first photo from the carousel of images, the couple can be seen locking lips in a black and white shot as they pose outdoors and Powley holds her bouquet.
The actress opted for an intricate wedding dress designed by Miu Miu for her nuptials. The strappy dress featured a bodice and skirt embellished in crystals and organza flowers, while her actor husband sported a navy blue suit and olive green tie.
In a separate Instagram post, Powley thanked the Italian high fashion brand for “making all my dreams come true,” with her wedding day outfit. “I have never felt so beautiful and so completely myself as I did in my wedding dress!!” she wrote, adding that the “incredible” design process was something she will “never forget.”
Other photos shared from the day show Powley and Booth exchanging rings during their ceremony and Powley being walked down the aisle.
The newlyweds were flooded with congratulatory messages following their special news. Powley’s former Morning Show costar Reese Witherspoon wrote in the comments section,” Bel!!!! I’m so happy for you and Doug 💕💕💕.”
As reported by Vogue, the pair married at Petersham Nurseries in their London hometown and hosted their reception at the Institute of Contemporary Arts near Buckingham Palace, with Powley changing into a second Miu Miu dress for the celebrations.
Powley also revealed the pair planned their entire wedding themselves in just six months.
“We didn’t have one disagreement on anything, and we were a great team with the shared goal of throwing the best party full of love for all our friends and family who we adore so much,” she told Vogue of the planning process. “We knew we wanted it to feel relaxed, fun, and very London, which it definitely did when the heavens opened after lunch!”
Powley and Booth initially met on the set of the period drama Mary Shelley back in 2016 and went on to get engaged in July 2021.
The couple announced the happy news on their respective Instagram accounts.
“Very, VERY happy! 😆 @belpowley 🥂❤️,” wrote Booth alongside a smiling photo of the pair — with Powley showing off her new ring. The post also featured two shots of the beautiful picnic The Riot Club star set up to propose on Primrose Hill in London.
Meanwhile, Powley shared her own carousel of photos with the caption, “Football’s coming home…and so is my husband ⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴💍💍💍⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️🏴🏴🏴.”
