Preparing for a wedding can be a lot for brides-to-be, from making sure you pick the right hairdresser to getting your makeup done, the photos you’ll have will last forever so it’s important to look your best.
It’s no secret getting veneers can set you back a few thousand pounds, so in a bid to cut some costs, she decided to buy them online from the online retailer Temu.
Known for its cheap prices, the Chinese-based online shop sells pretty much anything – including the clip-in gnashers, and most items are usually under £1. It’s clear why bargain hunters love the site and it was also the most downloaded mobile app in 2023. However as it is with buying anything online, it’s always going to be a risk, and bride-to-be Petrina Josephine was all too familiar with this.
In the hope she’d have some pearly whites prior to the big day, she was left horrified and claimed she “looked like a horse”. It’s clear they weren’t what she’d hoped for and she posted the hilarious video of her teeth online. As she wrote: “How bad can these pop-on veneers from Temu be?”
However once she’d put them in, she smiled and showed her pearly whites and wrote: “Never mind,” as she then further added: “It’s giving horse girl.” The teeth looked more like a solid white block in her mouth, rather than something that resembled teeth, and she wasn’t impressed with her purchase. Although she didn’t clarify how much she spent, you can pick up clip-in veneers for just 99p on the site.
People were loving her hilarious video, as one TikTok user suggested: “There’s supposed to be a wax mould with them…but they still don’t turn out good,” to which Petrina replied: “I did end up realising that and was hopeful for a minute but like you said it also was a disaster.” Another user wrote: “Baby nooooo,” and Petrina jibed: “Wedding ready.”
