WASHINGTON, D.C. (7NEWS) — With engagement season in full swing, the impending planning season is just around the corner and there is no shortage of places in the DMV for couples looking to tie the knot.
With a keen eye for romantic venues, one Washington, D.C. woman took 7News to her favorite spots in the region.
Feyisola Ogunfemi, the owner of Statuesque Events, has dedicated 12 years to help those seeking a happily ever after.
Tens of thousands have viewed her Instagram reels in which she shares advice and talks about the events she’s planned.
“I realized that I love to plan events,” said Ogunfemi.
One of her favorite spots is at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia.
“It has everything you need,” said Ogunfemi. “It’s literally a resort so if you have your wedding during the summertime your guests can enjoy the water park.”

In Maryland, she calls the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore exclusive and luxurious.
“They have a beautiful rooftop that is great for ceremonies and it overlooks the Baltimore harbor and it’s one of my favorite spots because it has a perfect scenery,” said Ogunfemi.
In the District — she says D.C.’s only winery makes District Winery a go-to spot especially for wine lovers.
“It’s in Navy Yard, right by the water which is perfect and there is a walking bridge that is the best place to take pictures,” said Ogunfemi.
For those who want something unlike anything else — you might not know that you can get married in a museum — making this venue hard to top.
“National Women of Museum in Arts is a museum but a lot of people don’t know it’s also a venue,” said Ogunfemi. “You have to have a top 10 team to work there because you only have two hours to set up.”
According to Knot.com, the engagement season is from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day.
Ogunfemi says it’s never too early to start planning.
“I promise it is not as scary as you think and I can’t wait to see your wedding produced in one or more of these amazing venues,” said Ogunfemi.
