Married at First Sight Australia star Lucinda Light has shared an exciting update on her “heavily pregnant” wedding guest.

The fan-favourite contestant appeared on the 11th season of the hit reality show, where she was coupled up with and married Timothy Smith (though they ultimately decided to call it quits before their final vows).

The pair’s ceremony itself was already one of the most dramatic thanks to a storm, but viewers’ attention quickly turned to a pregnant guest rushing down the aisle as another guest commented: “She’s going to have her baby!”

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Lucinda shared an update on her guest and best friend Samaria Black, who she said gave birth to twin girls shortly after the wedding.

“Are you curious about the heavily pregnant guest at our wedding day and what happened to her? According to the @mafs subtitles, she was about to give birth as all our guests were running for dear life from the torrential downpour,” the reality star captioned a carousel of photos that featured Samaria and her babies.

“As Timbo aptly put it, there was nothing normal about our wedding day!”

She continued: “Anyway, I wanted to give you an update on my gorgeous friend @samariablack (said pregnant mother). Soon after the wedding, Samaria gave birth to identical twin girls, Juni and Ava, with her lovely partner, Astro.

“Thanks for holding off on a twin birth on our wedding day beauty (although it would have made some pretty compelling TV!)”.

While Lucinda revealed that it’s been a “challenging start” for the family due to the twins having colic and Samaria and her partner having “no nearby in-laws to help lighten the load,” she added: “You guys are rocking it, truly!”

Lucinda went on to thank her friend for gifting her with her “time, keen eye for style, and loads of her earrings and accessories” ahead of the wedding, as well as for “teaching” me so much with your thorough communication, impeccable domesticity, and generous heart”.

The caption concluded: “Your girls are superb, your most exquisite creation yet – I just adore them. You are so seen and valued, angel heart. Keep shining and growing through the deep intensity and beauty that only twins can bring. You’ve got this!”
