Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves dually posted a Western-themed picture in commemoration of their 12th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

‘Thank you,’ the Academy Award-winning actor, 54, captioned the romantic shot, adding the hashtag, #happyanniversary.

In the image posted to his 9.7 million followers, the Dallas Buyers Club star donned a beige cowboy hat with a denim blue jacket with fleece lining as he kissed his spouse on the forehead.

Alves, a Brazilian model and designer, had her eyes closed as she wore her black locks down in the image, which appeared to have been snapped during a sunset.

Alves, 41, who is mother to three kids with the A-list actor – Levi, 15, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11 – shared the celebratory image with her 1.3 million followers.

McConaughey and Alves exchanged vows at their home in Austin, Texas on June 9, 2012, with their kids Levi and and Vida serving respectively as ring bearer and flower girl, People reported.

Alves said the kids seemed ‘to understand what we are doing on a spiritual level,’ while McConaughey said of the nuptials: ‘We decided to embrace the ritual of marriage as an opportunity and adventure we’ll take together.’

Among the celebs who were guests at the wedding included Woody Harrelson – who McConaughey has past alluded to as his possible real-life brother – as well as Reese Witherspoon and Kenny Chesney.

McConaughey and Alves initially crossed paths in 2006 at a nightclub, where the Interstellar actor said he was bowled over by Alves’ beauty.

‘Out of the corner of my eye, this sort of aqua-green figure went floating across the frame about 20 feet in front of me,’ McConaughey told People in 2016. ‘My eye went up and I remember what came out of my mouth. I didn’t say, “Who is that?” I went, “What is that?”

‘As l was trying to get that’s attention across the room, I went in my head, “This is not the kind of woman you call over across the room, McConaughey. Get your a** out of your chair and go get her.” Which I did.’

The Lone Star State native and his spouse in March chat with the publication Southern Living about their marriage and family life, detailing their decision to move from Malibu, California to Austin, Texas in 2014.

‘We were living a happy life in Malibu,’ Alves said. ‘We had a beautiful house that we’d built together and put a lot of love and care into. We were raising our kids there. I was growing everything in the yard. I had bees making honey.’

Alves said an emergency initially led the family to go to Austin to help McConaughey’s mother Kay McConaughey and his brothers. In that time, she noticed that his mood was much lighter in his native Texas than it had been in California.

Alves said that while they were driving, she noticed that the True Detective actor had a ‘peaceful but confident, energetic look’ about him. She asked him, ‘You want to move here, don’t you?’ to which he said, ‘Yep.’

Alves said that she’s comfortable in Texas, as the local culture parallels certain aspects of how she grew up in Brazil.

‘We grew up saying, “Yes, ma’am” and “No, sir” or – as I should say – “Yes, ma’am” and “Yes, sir,” Alves said. ‘It takes me right back to how I was raised.’

The Dazed and Confused alum explained the details of what made his homecoming a decade ago so special.

‘Ritual came back, whether that was Sunday church, sports, dinner together as a family every night,’ he said, ‘or staying up after that telling stories in the kitchen, sitting at the island pouring drinks and nibbling while retelling them all in different ways than we told them before.’
