The Brides Wore Valentino: Looking Back at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Many Wedding Dresses in Vogue – Vogue

Though Pierpaolo Piccioli might be known for his deft use of a certain shade of pink—the eye-catching color has since been dubbed Pierpaolo Pink—he’s also given the world a gorgeous array of bridal looks in all shades of wedding white. In the wake of the news of his exit from Valentino, Vogue looks back through its wedding archive to remember the many fashionable brides who chose Pierpaolo Piccioli for their big day.

For Nicola Peltz, who would wed Brooklyn Beckham in a much-talked-about wedding in Palm Beach in 2022, the choice was a “no-brainer,” as she told Vogue. Peltz is among several brides who thought of no one else for her nuptials—like Harley Viera Newton, who almost exclusively wore Valentino (three looks in total!) for her Manhattan wedding celebrations. Hollywood’s on board, too: Anne Hathaway wore Valentino to her hush-hush wedding in 2012 and Gwyneth Paltrow donned the designer for her wedding to Brad Falchuk in 2018.

Though all these brides are unique, they seem to share a sensibility with Piccioli—they’re wedding dresses, sure, but they also smack of high fashion. A Valentino bride is a runway bride, after all.

Below, find our very favorite Pierpaolo Piccioli-era Valentino brides.
