The Duke of Westminster Married Olivia Henson in a Royal Wedding – InStyle

Olivia Henson has married Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, at Chester Cathedral. The royal wedding, which has been dubbed the “society wedding of the decade,” was nothing short of idyllic. But one thing really caught our attention. We couldn’t help but notice that Henson looked very reminiscent of another royal bride—namely, Meghan Markle.

The bride wore a timeless gown and veil by British bridal designer Emma Victoria Payne. With its long sleeves, wide boat neckline, and dramatic train, the simple dress evoked Markle’s iconic Clare Waight Keller wedding gown.

Henson’s ivory silk crepe satin, ivory silk organza dress, however, bore a few extra touches. The neckline and sleeves were lined with delicate scalloped floral lace detailing, while the back of the dress featured a daring cut-out. According to a press release, the delicate embroidery on the dress was hand-drawn to mimic the details that had adorned Henson’s great-great-grandmother’s veil from around 1880. Payne also included Henson’s initials and wedding date in the detailing on Henson’s veil.

In yet another personal touch, the bride carried a bouquet of wild flowers picked from the gardens of Eaton Hall, the Grosvenor family’s estate.

Henson also wore the Fabergé Myrtle Wreath Tiara, which was first worn in 1906 at the wedding of Lord Hugh Grosvenor, one of the first Duke of Westminster’s sons, and Lady Mabel Crichton. Since then, the tiara has been passed down through the Grosvenor family. The tiara was last worn in 2008 at the wedding of Lady Rosanagh Innes-Ker and the Viscount Grimston.

After tying the knot with Grosvenor, Henson, an account manager at B Corp company Belazu, has become the new Duchess of Westminster—as well as the wife of the richest person under 40 in the United Kingdom.

Several royals were in attendance at the ceremony. Prince William attended the wedding alone as Kate Middleton continues her cancer treatment. Prince Harry declined his invitation to the wedding but Princess Eugenie, William and Harry’s first cousin, was spotted at the wedding wearing a simple sage green pleated midi dress.
