When we think of celebrities, we often think of all the glitz and glamour that Hollywood money has to offer. From star-studded red carpets, to million dollar mansions and private jets, it’s safe to say that celebrities are, in many ways, the epitome of glamour.
And while that might be true for some, many celebrities let go of all the glitz and glamour for their wedding days. After all, wedding days should be all about the love right?
From Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ Las Vegas elopement in 1996, to Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green’s sunset wedding in 2010 with solely one witness (Green’s son!), it seems like even the biggest stars may opt for the smallest of occasions here and then. To check out more Hollywood power couples who kept it low-key for their big day, scroll below!

“Refreshments were served at a small reception following,” he continued. In the second picture, Allen and her kids are seen enjoying In-N-Out.

Colin Jost & Scarlett Johansson
Speaking of private weddings, Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson also keep their nuptials under wraps. In fact, the news first broke with an announcement by the charitable organization Meals on Wheels. “We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the organization wrote alongside a picture of the Staten Island Ferry and “Jost Married” written on top.

According to Ripa, it all happened because the two surprisingly had two free days of work. “$179 for a wedding, including airfare, cause we had miles and we had a canceled trip or something,” she told her former co-host Ryan Seacrest. “But $179 in total — total with everything.”
Gwyneth Paltrow & Chris Martin

“It was literally, ‘Honey, do you have anything to do this morning?’ And he was like, ‘No.’ So I said, ‘Should we go to the courthouse and get married?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah,’” Alba recalled. “And then I said, ‘Can we get waffles afterwards because I have a doctor’s appointment? Will you come to my doctor’s appointment?’ And that’s how it happened!”
Matt Damon & Luciana Barroso
In 2005, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso made their love official in a private, low-key ceremony at City Hall in Manhattan. In attendance was close friends, family, and, shockingly, former Mayor Bloomberg, per Page Six.
“We were gonna get married over Christmas [in 2005], and then somebody got wind of it, and my publicist told me these people are are all going to go down to Miami where we lived at the time,” Damon told People. “We thought our whole holiday break was going get ruined with people hanging around, with helicopters and all that stuff. So we literally ran to the city on [on Dec. 9, 2005,] and just tied the knot really quickly, just to kind of nip that whole thing in the bud.”
