Pictures Shot At Director Shankar’s Daughter Aishwarya’s Wedding
Ace director Shankar’s elder daughter Aishwaryaa Shankar on Monday wed Tarun Karthikeyan, an assistant director of Shankar, in a grand wedding ceremony that was attended by a number of celebrities including the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin.
The wedding, which took place at the R K Convention Centre on the East Coast Road in Chennai, was a grand affair with literally the who’s who of tinsel town attending it.
Notable among those who were present this morning at the wedding were actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Suriya, Karthi, Vikram, Vishal, Arjun and directors Mani Ratnam, Bharathiraja, K Baghyaraj, P Vasu, K S Ravikumar, Hari, Vishnu Vardhan, Vignesh Shivan and Ravikumar.
The event was also attended by a number of producers R B Choudhary, Jayantilal Gadda, A M Rathnam, Dil Raju, Ishari Ganesh, Rajasekar and music director Harris Jayaraj.
Aditi Shankar Broke News of Engagement First
It was Shankar’s younger daughter, Viruman actress Aditi Shankar, who broke the news of her elder sister’s engagement first. She took to her Instagram page to share some exclusive pictures from the gala event that happened in February this year.
Sharing a bunch of happy photos from the event, she wrote, “With my two favorite people in the world, what a beautiful and memorable day.”
Aishwarya’s second marriage
Aishwarya was previously married to cricketer Rohit Damodharan in June 2021. The wedding was graced by limited people due to pandemic restrictions.
Director Shankar had planned to have a grand wedding reception for Aishwarya and Rohit the following year. However, it was called off and the reason wasn’t stated.
In the same year, Rohit, found himself in a controversy when a 16-year-old girl filed a sexual harassment case against him.
Meanwhile, on the work front, director Shankar is currently busy with Game Changer starring Ram Charan in the lead. He is also working on Indian 2 which features Kamal Haasan in the lead. His daughter, Aditi Shankar is rumoured to be working on director Vishnuvardhan’s next.
